Gamepad acting up? Keyboard not responding properly? Can't get that other user to work? Read and post about it here.

Saitek P150 - Works normally, but not on Zsnes...

Post by Zimaru »

Bloody annoying...

Just want to use my bloody controller to play some snes games...

I'm not sure if we've worked out whether the zsnes doesn't like Saitek, but for some reason most of them don't....

The computer reconises the controller, its down in control pannel, i've checked all the buttons and they work, im on windows XP, and it works on normal games played via CD ROM...

When i go to set the controller buttons (on zsnes) into the correct slots it doesn't seem to respond and the controller is left motionless in gameplay...

I've tried everything... enlighten me...

What Zsnes version are you using? Are you connecting the controller via usb or the gameport?

Nevermind, worked it out... Never download a copy version cause most of it doesn't work and half the options are missing...

On my machine it was labelled "HID-compliant game controller" under "Human Interface Devices". I had two entries; the first one was the keyboard, the second was my ps2 controller.

To get to Device Manager in Windows XP, NT or 2K:
* Press Windows+Pause/Break
* Hardware Tab
* Device Manager Button
* Double-click "Human Interface Devices"
* Right-click on a "HID-compliant game controller"
* Select Disable from the context menu.

The solution is in Saitek's mess of support pages, check Question #3:

I hope this saves someone else from the hours of searching I went through. A little less stupid glowy keyboard. A little.
