Possible Graphics Bugs

Post by Sith »

Hi,everyone i started using emulators recently and am also using
Zsnes v1.42 & Snes9x v1.43
Snes9X has flawless graphics display but sound problems.
Zsnes has great sound but graphics bugs.
Before i bother with all the tech data some other users should confirm
these:
-Clayfighter graphics are messed up during fights(not on sn9x)
-Battletoads:at the intro's 1ST screen the helicopter is missing
(not on sn9x) might be some chip not emultd yet?
text under ugly Silas Volkmire not displayed.
-This one is really ugly:in some games "pixel leftovers" remain at the
borders of the screen.
e.g super SF2 T.N.C. :title scrn
also Spider-m. max. carnage:characters intros
When you right click the mouse to enter GUI and exit again ,it is gone.
Till new events make it reappear that is!

using winXP home 3Ghz 1GbDDR Nvidia GeForceFX 5200

You need a reality check. No SNES emulator currenty has flawless graphics.

These are all known.
I might also add that in Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, when you use Snes9x and get up to level 6, you'll find the graphics are messed up so bad it's unplayable.

Please elaborate.

Here are some configs:
fps skip:3
active:-auto fps -new gfx eng. -mmx -don't save curr pth
-enable auto patch -rominf.
mode:1024X768 DS Full super2xSaI hi-res m7 active
super SYS 0/6 active (don't know what this is anyway)

GUI:active -filtered GUI -click enters GUI -water eff A &some mouse opt.

e.g When running Maximum Carnage in 1024X768 DS FULL and these
border garbage pixels appear, clicking right mouse b. enters GUI
then clicking mouse again exits GUI and those pixels are gone
until the next name in this intro makes new ones appear...
This cleanup thing works with other games too.
If you can figure out why this is so maybe you can fix this ugly bug and
make Zsnes a lot more enjoyable to use.
It's already great but u can still make it better.keep up the good work! :)

edit:this prob seems to occur at the bottom & also right border

Try the latest WIP from http://www.ipherswipsite.com/zsnes
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

To Nach:downloaded Zsnes 0710 (wip) and tested Max.Carnage again.
Same problem,no change...
I guess you'll still have to look into this one. :(

It's my opinion though that 0710 GUI menu is better organized than 1.42
I've also noticed some new "speed" window under config.
Yeah, new possibilities to work with.Great job! 8)

Found some more, dunno if they're known but i'll post 'em anyway.
The opening screen of Dragon Bruce Lee isn't displayed right.
The letter-characters seem "ripped apart".This looks weird :?
A similar problem exists with Super SWIV,only here one horizontal line
is displayed wrongly on the title.

Please use the format to talk about bugs, start by giving us the rom info.
