Can't get key combinations working

As the subject says; I can't get the combo feature working. Being a bit lazy, and wish to play some good old Mortal Kombat, I thought could just pre-program the fatalities and have them assigned to a button.

But I just can't get it working. I've tried press/release, the presses, various delays between the buttons, but still no luck. How should it be done?

I do know many of the fatalities already, so just some extra time would do I thought, and wanted a button for that secret code. But as you can imagine, that won't work either.

Ideas?

I've read the one found in docs/gui.htm#misc_menu, is there any other doc?
