Options besides Retrousb and Smart Joy for a snes gamepad?

Gamepad acting up? Keyboard not responding properly? Can't get that other user to work? Read and post about it here.

Options besides Retrousb and Smart Joy for a snes gamepad?

Post by M1CH43L »

My laptop doesn't have a parallel port, as it's rather new and the port is fairly outdated, but is there an option besides the expensive retrousb snes controller, or the clunky smart joy adapter, for true snes controller configurations? The retrousb snes pad is quite tempting, but $72 seems like an awful lot for two of them. Are there other options out there but that still stick with the snes controller layout? Thanks.

You can try a Xbox 360 wired controller. Or maybe buy a PS1/PS2 USB adapter and hook up a controller.
Try out CCleaner and other free software at Piriform

Well I was shooting to use a real snes controller. You suggested a ps1/ps2 adapter, but that couldn't possibly work for a snes controller, right? I meant options besides buying a retro usb or smart joy adapter, but still connect a snes controller.
