Go ahead answer the poll. Elaborate on why you chose what you chose.

I hadn't really thought about it, but it's very simple why.
Everything that goes around comes around. Then there's the Circle of Life... Knights of the Round table
There's too many negative things with the other shapes. I'm not a Rubic Cube fan... stupid Pentagon... Star of David... the square root of a negative number... etc. etc.

What? Where's the kite?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kite_(geometry)
It's a quadrilateral which is neither a trapezoid or parallelogram (which also covers rhombi, squares, rectangles).

Triangle.
Various reasons:
-Two women, one guy.
-Triforce.
-Bermuda Triangle.
-It´s really easy to draw it in a wall via shots in almost any FPS.

Circles + Equilateral Triangle
I have to go with the circle. It's virtually the perfect shape; it has no corners (and thus, no "sides"), fits the curve of your hand (in cylinder/disc form), and is the basis for one of the most important 3-dimensional shapes: the wheel. It's also the basis for the sphere, which is used for many common and popular objects such as sports balls and bubbles.
Without circles, we also wouldn't have CDs, DVDs, Frisbees, hula hoops, "scroll-wheel" computer mice, screws, analog clocks, ...and the list just keeps going.
The equilateral triangle is my second choice. Yay for the Triforce.
