the linux version puts saves in your .zsnes dir rather than the folder from which you load the game. so my save weren't even there in the first place.

I FINALY got zsnes to work on linux (found a mdk rpm). ive been playing FF3 on the school computers with the windows version. i now have the linux version on my computer and wish to play my game. i cant load the save states. why? shouldn't it be compatable since its not OS specific? im useing zsnes ...

its an Averatec 3150 with a 1.6GHZ AMD Athlon-XP-M mobile processor 256MB RAM 30GB HDspace.

its got two small fans on the bottom that dont work so well, so i got a stand with a fan in it and it keeps it cool all the time except for when im running this app. so i know its no longer a cooling issue.

ive heard about some problems with fedora as well. at least on my laptop its supposed to screw up when mounting usb stuff and not support acpi very well. also i heard that you have to update all the time. i might try it later but for now ill stick with mdk. I have been looking for an easy way to run zsnes on linux. ive tried to use wine but that did not work. i couldn't figure out the install instructions in the src pkg so i gave up on it for a while. i then had the idea of looking for an rpm of zsnes for mandrake. instead i found a debian install pkg....

crap... well, i looked through the install file and didn't understnd a single bit of it. ive heard of nasm before but thats it. it looks like there is a list of about 20 other progs that are dependancies zsnes needs. im not then good with stuff like that right now, so i guess i'll just play with zsn...
