Federa Core 3 worked flawlessly on my laptop, while Mandrake 10.1 had loads of problems. I would definitely recommend Fedora to any newb, and especially to newbs with high-bandwidth internet because the automatic updates are sweet! It will update all of the thousands of programs automatically for yo...

My parents have an old 350Mhz Pentium II. It had Windows XP with 64MB RAM, and it was terribly slow. I added a 128MB RAM chip (PC133, running at PC100) and it got so much faster it was unbelievable. Doing things like web-surfing/office apps, is just as fast as my 2.2GHz A64 (those programs never app...

Dude...that's the greatest thing about BARF. You can compress LOTR DVDs to 0 bytes.

WARNING: Using BARF may actually increase your disk usage.

Can't wait for the future version, JGA Giga Archive, with compression approaching BARF!
The only archiver as good as BARF is a CD burner...

Those were some pretty sweet pics MaxSt , thanks 8) You wrong here. "S" modes stretch images only one time, not two times. Oops. I had thought that my display would stretch the image to it's 1280x800 when I select 1024x768 S mode. EDIT: I just tried it, and that's what it does (double stre...

I don't ever use "S" modes because of reduces image quality. Doing something like stretching an image to 1024x768, and then stretching that image to 1280x800, is just wrong! I do, however, like wide aspect ratios. Example: watching 4:3 movies on my laptop I always use the whole screen. Lot...

Well, my CPU doesn't have any problem with with HQ4x in most cases. The problem is that I can only play at HQ3x with my laptop display. 3x5 should actually use LESS cpu power than 4x4... and it would look wonderfull!

Best Feature of zSNES

I saw something today, so amazing that I had to come post about it.... Here's my story: My laptop's got a 1280x800 screen (and a 2.2Ghz A64). So I use 1024x768 mode HQ3x. Today (for the 1st time...) I saw HQ4x on my friend's CRT display, and I was amazed! For those of you who are skeptical, try it. ...
