When i installed the newest version the first time (when the slowdown started happening) i had backed up the roms that i have and their saves, and installed the new version to an empty folder. OK, updating fixed the problem...I went back to 1.36 adn it was fine. I guess I can deal with an older version.

Ok, I'll try the old version again. I don't use a keylogger. And if formatting the HD fixes it, then that adds another reason to the pile for reformatting first thing after i'm done with school for the year....this thing is falling apart!
