Re: Best games for SNES
If anything I think that the Special is pretty much the hardest part of the game. And no I didn't have the luxury of finding everything on StarRoad in the first go. Then again, playing on an original cartridge, I was able to sniff out all the exits and stuff basically through trial and error. Donkey...

Re: Best games for SNES
Well Super Mario Bros 3 had two flutes you could use to warp straight to world 8 I know, but the ridiculously low level count of Super Mario World... 12 to 13 levels if I'm counting correctly, straight to Bowser's Castle. Beat Yoshi's Island and then also with Star Road having the first level as &qu...

Re: Best games for SNES
For some reason I found the Donkey Kong Country snes series to be better games than Super Mario World. They are just as easy if easier. To be quite frank, I found Super Mario Bros 3 to be a better platformer than Super Mario World. In super mario world you can exploit shortcuts to finish the game qu...

Okay I'm familiar with the header and headerless options since I've done a lot of patching... But thanks for that tid bit of information. It makes things a little more clearer about the processing of what goes on during a translation or rom patch.

This list has been done already....
Super Mario World is highly overrated and way too easy...Unless you are talking about hacks...
To whom the platform gamer tolls, play Umihara Kawase or Pac-in-Time...
It has better rope physics mechanics.

Re: ZSNES and SMW hacking
I ran into an interesting problem a few days back when I decided to give Bahamut Lagoon a ago. Apparently, much of the SNES rom image library has been redumped (or something to that effect, don't really ask me), because the Bahamut Lagoon translation patch no longer worked with a "new" SF...

but if the same hack is bad, then I guess zsnes has been compiled and programmed better than the other two. Either that or surpassed the capabilities of hardware snes or bsnes for that matter. Oh jesus. Alright, you're clearly very confused. It's like this: imagine if someone had a broken 10-year-o...

NETPLAY ALLOWED NOW FOR UP TO 3 COMPUTERS!! *Not a joke!!*
Okay I have GRAND NEWS everyone, but here's the catch. Netplay is being currently allowed for up to 3 players on zsnes 1.36 from a brilliant hacker named *Myself* on the snesot website. The code he's working on is still being tested to sync with 4 to 5 players, but up to 3 players can play now on hi...

All of this sounds pretty cool, but I don't like the idea of having to always jolt up on the joystick to have my character move in 3-Dimensional wide scope games. It seems like a waste of an idea already implemented by...can I say it here?...Sony...But since you say you're still in the works for tha...

No it is not illegal to use rooms, but it is illegal to destroy your own snes console. Now turn yourself into the police....

I know this is a gripe, but it tends to piss me off a little when people come in my room when I do host a 1 player game and they can't see why I'm playing it online. Sometimes I'd like to tell these idiots to piss off. As close minded as 95% of the people on z-net are I think it's a lost cause most ...

@ Yuber : I honestly haven't been much into Eidos either. I've played the original Tomb Raider, Hitman Contracts, and Fighting Force. Generally I just could not see SE taking over games like Hitman. It's just not their style if you know what I mean. Square in particular didn't really team up with En...

Final Fantasy 13 happens to be a good game. It's the only final fantasy that is more geared towards action rather than turn based rpgness. There's some upgrade in there as well. Final Fantasy you could either play wait or active, but I believe 11,13 and 14 were the ones that you can play always acti...
