I'm happy to get everyone's juices flowing here. With all this passion, maybe the next revision will come out sooner than I expected. If all goes back to love, peace and happiness with it, we can put this whole debate behind us. At this point, there's nothing more to say, and it can only degenerate ...

let me tell you something. the fastest its going to go is 29.97 fps - thats NTSC spec. thats 29.97 full frames per-second, by the fact that its interlaced you are getting your precious 60 fps. I'm a bit late to this, but this is something I know a bit about, so I wanted to contribute. There is endl...

I seem to have hit a nerve here. Sore spot, guys? :D It wouldn't be the first time an emulator needs a special hack for a special game. That didn't happen here, hence this conversation. You can call SMRPG an egg which didn't make it to the omelet if you want. To some people, what broke was the fryin...

Yes, it is just one game, but it is a very important one. We're not talking some obscure mediocrity here, but a signature game for the SNES. And you're saying that improvements in emulation accuracy should be passed up if they break a game in the process? I don't know how to answer that question be...

oh, you mean those things that company can renew? they still own the rights. if they haven't released into the public domain, you're expected to pay again. unless you post here, in which case you probably haven't payed again. but why is this being discussed in this thread of all places? and what's ...

You realize Super Mario RPG is one game, and uses a special chip at that. 1.42 is uncompilable by modern Linux distros to boot (due to libs that existed at the time that allowed faulty, if not poor behavior). The ZSNES development team has my respect and admiration. I had to get that said up front....

Re: controller compatability?
quick question, are there any controllers that work with this emulator? like will the 360 controller work with it? or something more old school? The 360 controller works just fine. I use a 3rd party driver for it, though, and now I can't recall its name. It probably doesn't matter, since you map th...

God forbid some company wants to make money on intellectual property that they invested heavily in, even though it was some years ago. And God forbid that people do not want to commit copyright infringement. And God forbid that those of us who already have and paid for these games would want to enj...

I'm using Windows XP to run ZSNES, so the OS was not the problem. Like the person above me stated, it was the ZSNES version, which I was able to figure out after searching topics on why SMRPG was freezing. By switching versions to 1.42, I not only was able to save in game, but I was also able to so...

I just registered here to thank you for the link to SJ 3.2. I've been living with the buggy 3.1 version for ages. While there are other SPC solutions that work OK, I always come back to SJ for delving into details and for dumping to WAVs, even knowing that it was going to crash half the time. 3.2 wo...
