For example I have downloaded saves for FFIII that allow you to start from any point in the game. The problem is everytime I fire them up I'm left with just a black ...

Thanks for all your help guys! My downloads folder where I keep the roms was indeed read only. Everything is running smooth now.

Im not playing them off a cd; Im just using roms that I got from the internet. They each have their own folder, so I just go into the folder to select whatever game Im going to play and it comes up on zsnes by itself. Do I have to make a new file for the saves themselves? Im really new to this.

Hi, Im new to the boards so sorry if this is old news. I just use zsnes for fun (snes rpg's rule!) so I dont know much about the technical aspects of it.
