I'm told "Aerith" is an anagram for "I, Earth."
...THAT is probably a coincidence.

Re: Chrono Trigger retrans?
Anyone think Chrono Trigger should be retranslated? I mean, in game...they call beer soda. And instead of demon they use the word "magic" instead. I bet this would be good if it was retranslated. Anyone agree? I bet you're one of those people who calls Aeris "Aerith", right? :ro...

well there were threads similarly unrelated, so I thought it would be fine, I suppose I am sorry. Nearly all of them are related to translation or hacking ROMs, or bugs that pop up as a possible result of the two. Don't worry about it though, now that you know. Anyway, GameFAQS doesn't say anything...

I still see no need or reason for a Chrono Trigger retranslation. Well, if someone WANTS to do it, that's reason enough, I guess. What people do with their free time is their business. Though I do agree, I don't see a point in it... Ah well. At least they're getting hacking practice and experience ...

I love this quote: I know some people got furious that the names were changed, but to be honest, the games were meant for a broader audience than the one which buys and plays Japanese imports. In fact, I don't understand why someone who reads enough Japanese would buy the US port! It's like buying ...

It's possible to communicate in written Japanese using only Hirigana or only Kanji No. Japanese *require* hiraganas for grammatical structures. Once the context is set, there are only so many stuff you can say in a kanji or two about it, then you usually add a new element in the context, and you ne...

not really languages, just character sets. Standard uses are: Katakana - Used for names/foreign items/etc Hiragana - Native Japanese words, names, etc Kanji - Compounds of commonly used words to help identify what you mean when you speak a word. For example, the japanese word for a frog is kaeru, k...

The Super Missiles can wipe out Ballos's last form in three to five seconds if you just stand in his eye and mash the Attack button. How fast can Blade Lv. 3 do the job? The Machine Gun? Also, don't use Missiles on the Heavy Press (Giant robot block) if you have the Nemesis. Just stand directly bene...

I got 5 minutes and 0.5 seconds on my best no-hack Sacred Grounds run. There are videos of people getting times of less than three minutes, with insane skill. (They probably don't use the Gravis Gamepad Pro, like the one I'm stuck with.) Oh, I got 2 minutes and 58 seconds on my best hacked run (232 ...

Y'know, considering the main site's history of technical weirdness, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to rebuild it pretty much from scratch. If I remember correctly, news posts were scarce at one point because the site was annoying to update, and then there was the time only one person had the access...

What's with the main site?
I can't access www.dejap.com for some reason. Now, I won't say those three words that people constantly e-mail Dark Force and company with, but I'd like to know what's up.

If you clear the sacred passage with a low time, then instead of Quote, you see a different character at the title screen. Also, the theme music changes. If you beat Ballos with less than six minutes on the timer, you see Curly and hear the Sacred Passage theme song. With less than five minutes, you...
