Re: Validating ROMs, iso's, General Retropie questions
I ended up not bothering with validation. Soft patching doesn't work as far as I can tell. But I have RetroPie set up with a Sixaxis paired over bluetooth. It's quite nice overall. The Pi is a bit weak, but it goes up to PSX and performs great there. I don't want to bother with any overclocking or a...

Validating ROMs, iso's, General Retropie questions
The other topic got closed some six years ago due to a hilarious need to stay on topic at all costs long after the topic had been exhausted. I so wanted to necro it. I'm going to be getting a raspberry pi 3 for some retro gaming action on the TV. I would like to validate my games before loading them...

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS
up all night to get lucky
Still playing Diablo III, and still playing FFX HD Remaster. Just got Shiva.
Titanfall dropped off the radar a bit, none of my friends picked it up, or picked it up on different platforms. Just got The Last of Us (PS3), so I'll be giving that a spin this weekend.

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS
Titanfall and Diablo 3 have been taking up my time lately. I should make time again for FFVIII, as I also recently got it (again). That would finally make room for the FFX remaster. I'll finally get to try X-2, and see what all the International version stuff is about. Throw in finishing Ni No Kuni,...

KInd of bizarre, and on a tangent, that device is why I have only played the PC release of FFVIII.
Pretty good with mods. Especially the sound mod.

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS
Saints Row: The Third. I bought the full package all cheap, beat it a while ago, but recently realized that I never touched the DLC. I'll be getting back into Skyrim for the DLC as well. I'm debating if I should get more paragon levels in Diablo 3 ahead of the expansion or not. Probably not. Too man...

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS
Steam Summer sale had me picking up quite a few DLCs that I was missing, so I'll be revisiting Skyrim, Dishonored and Tomb Raider. I picked up quite a few as well. Mark of the Ninja, Serious Sam 3, Borderlands 2 (at GMG, got some content on Steam), XCOM (at GMG, got the mission pack on Steam), Torch...

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS
Been heavy into Diablo III lately. Once I embraced the AH, I was able to start having fun. Took my barb from normal to inferno. BL2 is on the plate, and I dropped the PvZ facebook game for getting too facebook game.

Yeah, all PC copies go through Steam; that category was meant more for multi-plat releases.
Dishonered should go on that list as well. Good fun.

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS
Plants vs. Zombies Adventures (my first facebook game, I love PvZ that much) How is it? I heard some good things about the game. They had the good sense to slap a beta tag on it, it's still kind of buggy. Unresponsive at times, but the gameplay is fun enough. I've been getting by just fine without ...

Re: AoL's shameless Samsung Galaxy S4 plug
Ah, I haven't tried any custom ROMs yet, just using vanilla 4.2.2. Nothing wrong with that. Apps have come a long way in bringing great functionality without requiring root. I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. When it became apparent my Nexus wasn't really a Nexus, I took matters into my own hands. The ...

Re: AoL's shameless Samsung Galaxy S4 plug
ditto. love my n4 - although the latest cm10.1 M release seems to have a battery-draining bug (i'm seeing heavy usage by System that wasn't there in the previous M). I believe they have a memory leak as well. At least that's how it appeared to me when I was using the last monthly on my Galaxy Nexus...

Geez, you like to type.
And I'm not hating Windows 8 much at all. Faster and smoother than 7 on my 5 year old laptop. It's not that different at all.
The Citrix Receiver "app" is nice. I prefer the Modern take exactly because it is fullscreen.

extra credits and the amazon sale have convinced me to give spec ops: the line a shot. it'll get at you, and i think i'm only half way or so through.
otherwise, no changes.
edit: spec ops did not disappoint. taken as a [singleplayer] whole, it's pretty awesome.

DAII (still enjoyable), Diablo III (only level 10, but i'm enjoying it so far), AC:B (cleanup play to get to AC:R), and vanquish.
