Found it! Guess I should have looked a little deeper. In the video of bach's, there's a link to the website. the video itself names it. (Music Animation Machine) but I thought it was a nickname. Silly me
The link's here, for whomever is interested

MIDI Visualizer

some songs in Youtube have a "MIDI visualizer". It's the best way I can explain it. Look at this example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipzR9bhei_o and my favorite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4DjC0BdKt4 Do any of you know what program do they use? I'm not a hardcore musician, but it'd ...

nope, seems not to be so simple. The goods news is that the on board audio is not dead yet.
Perhaps I am not cut out to solder. I should stick to programming.

Well, of course I could buy the slot bracket @ e-bay, but that would defeat the purpose of fooling around with the computer.
All right, I guess I will try that. Hopefully that won't fry the computer.

How to build a SPDIF/OUT for my pc

My motherboard comes with an integrated Realtek AC'97 audio chipset, and on the manual it says that you can have SPDIF output, if you buy the expansion card and connect it to the mb. I feel like tinkering with my soldering iron, so I was thinking of maybe doing that myself. The pins on the mb are la...

no, the one I'm referring to is completely written. It's actually a bit long.
Hmm, going to check this one out though. Seems like I've come across a bit of time to kill.

Used IE5, but was annoyed at how it didn't clear the cache (it actually hides it in a hidden Content.IE5 folder) Even newer versions of IE don't fix this. Tried Fx(back then firebird), liked the good cache cleaning, hated the slow start-time. However, loved the fact that it would ask me what to do w...

Chrono Trigger parody

I remember reading a Chrono trigger parody a few years ago. It was from Crono's point of view, and it followed the storyline from the original game... with a twist. For example, Marle was a dumb blonde, Lucca was a lesbian, and Crono was always trying to weasel out, but kept on getting dragged along...

would certainly help if you stated if you are using any video filters, what video resolution you have, etc. Also, assuming you are not using pure DOS, but a console from win9x, you could try zsnesw

pretty much, if you have an MMX-capable CPU, it will run 60/60, if you disable every filter and run DOS.
Having a 1MB video card also forces you to use DOS. In Windows, the colors get pretty messed up.

Do I need to makea special cable, or can I just use a standard 9-25 pin converter?

remove the cfg file, set the windows resolution to 16-bit.
Happens to me all the time when I upgrade my video card. for some reason, Window thinks that 32 bit colors are better for me than 16 bit colors, even though I say otherwise

The DOS version doesn't require DirectX, and neither should the Linux version, since directx doesn't load there
The older versions of Zsnes for Windows use an older version of directx
