Dragon Quest I & II (J) Freeze/Hanging
I find this strange that nobody has posted or asked about this bug and it is still happening in ZSNES (CVS too (my builds)) but I can't cause it to happen in SNES9x. From the English Readme v2.0 Translation to Dragon Quest 1 and 2 by RPGone.net Sometimes if you have stereo sound enabled in ZSNES, an...

I bet someone's going to say to you to hit the esc button to bring up the menu and use that as a pause option :) I like the idea though... Dangit i was gonna say use ESC. I helped add a minor pause button emulation in DOSBox but i'm not too good at programming. I also don't know much about the inte...

I would recommend deleting the config files after every release though. I recommend this too cause between the 1.41 and 1.42 release I had the worse time forcing ZSNES to save the stupid dir for SRAMs and everything lol. It was fixed by deleting my config file since the settings changed a number ti...

Personally I prefer MinGW with its UNIX-like shell component named MSYS (use the snapshot at the bottom of the MinGW page). I wish they would officially release a new verison though it really needs it. MSYS makes much of everything so much easier though. Since then everything is basically Unix...

I see that the save directory location not saving properly in the zsnesw.cfg bug has been fixed. Congrats! That was truly annoying. Not critical but something strange is happening with my MinGW build of ZSNES. 2 of the 4 gui effects don't seem to be working. The two effects - Burning Effect and Wate...

I already modified the makefile.ms to work in MSYS properly on cleanup. I was just mentioning it again. That's all. I already know how to build ZSNES with MinGW/MSYS because I had all the libraries already built ahead of time since I build DOSBox which has zlib and libpng support for fun and test si...

Heh, and I just started compiling ZSNES myself just yesterday. :o I've been doing it for about a week now... contrary to what Nach says, I've had zero problems using MSYS. :P Unless there are hidden errors I'm not aware of. Nach thinks MSYS's make sucks, for some reason he has yet to inform...

EDIT: Btw, what EXE compression program do you use Ipher to compress zsnesw.exe? I assume it's UPX but I get about 40 kbs more compression using the free version of PECompact2. Just curious. Remember, you're not using the same compiler ipher is. Quite true.. I didn't ask what he uses to compile eit...

Isn't that second CTRL usually suppose to be the nearly unused and most annoying Windows/Alt/Option key? They added a key to the keyboard that's a new one. lol. Lol, that's quite crazy *chuckles* I've ever seen that before  I do remember an old keyboard I had with 8 directional arrows meaning...

Star Fox 2 (Private Build) Bug in current CVS source
After building the current CVS source(01/26/05) with MinGW, I tried StarFox 2 and it starts flickering madly and is slower than it is in ZSNES 1.42. I checked to make sure I was using the right rom. NSRT said my checksum was wrong and the NSRT -fix fixed it up. I checked if the patch was the problem...

Great job guys. Just built the CVS source. The bugs are fixed. Thanks Ipher for that minor gui correction. I'm curious. I don't know if it is asked anywhere... But when I try to set the SRAM/savestates PATH to anywhere it seems to default to the folder that contains my ROMs. Is this a bug? I've trie...

The images in the CVS repository for the DOCs are corrupt though. When I try to view them from ViewCVS or by pull the source, images are determined to be corrupted. Looks fine to me... both in zsnes CVS znd zsnes-docs CVS. For me it shows up as a broken image and I pulled the source from the ZSNES ...

Noticed fixes for the ZIP problem and some code clean up with BS-X games in the CVS source. That code cleanup fixed some ZSNES crashing when trying to load BS-X Marvelous Camp Arnold Course. Game doesn't fully start but it does in SNES9x. The images in the CVS repository for the DOCs are corrupt tho...
