Star Ocean Bugs

Post by Real Hotdog »

Some things in Star Ocean are too dark since 04/04/05 WIP. When confirming if you want to save the text is gray, but it should be white. The same thing happens when loading as well. Also when using an item things get dark. :(

Saving:

1.42 http://www.sitesled.com/members/real_ho ... s/1421.png

Using Item:

1.42 http://www.sitesled.com/members/real_ho ... s/1422.png

I also noticed that the hand when using an item goes under the character in both so you can't see it completely. Is it supposed to be like that?

I checked this, and yeah it occurs here too with the WIP. I checked with bsnes and it was the same as the 1.42 shots.

Unless the changelog says it has been fixed it hasn't.

Ya, i'm getting bugs with the sound, I'll hear it for a while on the world maps, then get into a fight, afterwords the sound is gone/depleated. I'm using the ZSNES 1.42 emulator with the NTSC filter. I'm wondering if it could be a problem with my rom dump. However after i dumped it, i checked it with a utilityand it said it was a good dump.

Use Snes9x if you want Star Ocean to be more stable. SO has issues in ZSNES that haven't been fixed even in the latest SVN updates, IIRC.

When pagefault releases the new core, perhpas then things will be different.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.
