Mouse Sensitivity
Hey guys, I was wondering if there was any way to turn down my mouse sensitivity in ZSnes? I tried searching the forums and googling it to no avail.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi there, big ZSNES fan... I've been using it for 6 or 7 years now and its the best emu I've ever seen.
I'm having some mouse sensitivity problems though. I downloaded the newest version and I found the mouse sensitivity variable in the zsnes.cfg file and I have it so that its very comfortable in the menus, but this option doesnt appear to have any effect on the sensitivity in games.
For example, Mario Paint. The sensitivity is still extremely high and the in-game mouse speed options don't seem to have any effect, where I remember they made a pretty big difference on a real SNES. Maybe these settings are actually negating the one you added recently.
The menus and the first person perspective scenes in Jurassic Park also have mouse support (how cool is that? an FPS with mouse support on the SNES) and they seem a bit too fast to me. Same with Cannon Fodder.
Also, do you have any plans for a mouse sensitivity slider in the menus? Maybe I'm blind and I just haven't seen it :p. I think that'd be a good addition though if there isn't one already.
Keep up the awesome work though guys. You wouldn't believe how much it means to people when you make it possible for them to play great games from their childhood right on their PC, exactly how they were meant to be played.
BTW, this may be a special case because I'm using a handheld trackball pointing device (this is a ITX project PC meant to run emulators on a TV set) so its a little twitchier than a mouse, but in windows and in the menus (thanks to the added sensitivity option) I can set it so that its comfortable. Its just the games that are causing a problem now.

I will probably look into its interaction with the games, but I cannot guarentee anything of it though. However, I doubt a slider will be added for the option.. not enough users to be affected, plus you can slow the mouse cursor to molasses with the sensitivity option. This option is specifically for really sensitive/high precision mice.CaptNKILL wrote:Hi there, big ZSNES fan... I've been using it for 6 or 7 years now and its the best emu I've ever seen.

Ok, what I was told by pagefault was that attempting to do that for games would be relatively hackish and may simply break compatibility with those games. I'm sorry that nothing can be done here. You will just have to use a regular mouse instead.

Ok, this issue was revisited by pagefault, and now the SNES mouse/Super Scope should now adhere to the mouse sensitivity variable. I'll have to get around to adding a slider bar (I have to figure out the best location for this).
