Kirby Super Star (WIP 05_14)

Post by chronomitch »

I am using the latest WIP build (May 14), and I have noticed a number of problems running Kirby Super Star. Here is the rom information:
---------------------Internal ROM Info----------------------
File: Kirby Super Star (U) [!].mgd
Name: KIRBY SUPER DELUXE Company: Nintendo
Header: None Bank: LoROM
Interleaved: No SRAM: 64 Kb
Type: SA-1 + Batt ROM: 32 Mb
Country: USA Video: NTSC
ROM Speed: 200ns (SlowROM) Revision: 1.0
Checksum: Good 0xC6AA CRC32: 89D0F7DC
MD5: CB76EA8AC989E71210C89102D91C6C57
--------------------------Database--------------------------
Name: Kirby Super Star
Country: USA Revision: 1.0
Port 1: Gamepad Port 2: Gamepad
Genre 1: Platform Genre 2: Side Scrolling
Problem 1 (minor): The intro sequence that is played as soon as the rom boots up is out of sync with the audio. While the audio speed is correct, the video seems to be too slow, so it lags behind.

Problem 2 (major): While playing through the game, every once in a while I notice strange behavior. Usually the game either crashes or jumps to the last bost battle (along with showing corrupted graphics). I have two savestates in which these problems occur shortly afterward: http://rapidshare.de/files/20555585/kir ... s.zip.html

Thank you.

I played 5 of the the KSS games in the past two days, I haven't noticed any strange behavior.
