problems with the ROMS
ok, I went and downloaded super mario kart, and when i tried to "open with", i chose zsnes, and for some reason it didn't want to go onto the selection list. I accidentally pressed ok (not knowing that zsnes was not selected)and suddenly all my ROMs were not zsnes files...they were nothing. So i went load in zsnes, i successfully loaded them, but then, my saves did not work. So my question is, is there any way i can make it so i Don't have to load it off zsnes everytime. My main reason for this is because now i can't play zbattle

Not a good idea to associate ROM files to ZSNES in the first place...
Follow these instructions:
1) Load up Windows Explorer..
2) Click on Tools, then Folder Options
3) Select the File Types tab
4) On the list of extensions, you may want to look for SMC (since that's what many SNES ROM files have as an extension)... highlight that entry
5) Click on the "Change" button and it will come up on that list to "Open With" again.. and this time to NOT SCREW UP, click on the "Other" button and find ZSNES...
I will not repeat myself further.

ZSNES is not a program that registers itself with Windows.. hence why it does not show up by default.sewercake wrote:ok...i think the problem is that my computer doesn't recognize zsnes as a program, because when i go browse on the "open with" window, find zsnes, select it. it doesn't show up on the screen, it acts like its not there or something.

You should break that habit of trying to run things by double clicking files, even when they are not associates with any program. It's not uncommon for certain emulators to not associate themselves with roms, because of the chance that such "direct-running" of files can easily breaks things.sewercake wrote:ok...i think the problem is that my computer doesn't recognize zsnes as a program, because when i go browse on the "open with" window, find zsnes, select it. it doesn't show up on the screen, it acts like its not there or something.
Emulators have their own internal rom browsers/load dialogs for a reason. ZSNES doesn't even have a standard Windows-style GUI, which makes it even more prone to weird behaviour and crashes should you not load your games via ZSNES' own Lod menu.
