Black screen when loading?

First i'd like to say taht im on a router and have a firewall etc. and thanks to the guide i've managed to get a friend and I connected. And now hte problem...

After waiting a while after what seems a "freeze" the game finally loads, but it just has a black screen. I can tell it loads because it shows the white writing at the bottom (the game i used is super bomberman 5 and 3)

Also I can press escape to close the netplay and when i resume the game, it loads?!

If any of you can solve this problem, it would be much appreciated.

(the version of zsnes i used is 1.42 and 1.36 both giving the same result.)

Does the problem you have effect you always or just on rare occassions?

I've tried to play bomberman 5 on 1.36 and had no problems online, so I should be able to work on that version. Undoubtedly though 1.42 will desync and lag like crazy, try to work the bugs out of your bomberman rom or something. I'm not entirely sure how you should fix the problem.

At least Super Bomberman 3-5 are unplayable in 1.42 (for me), they just hang at random points.

its ALWAYS just a black screen, but i knew it was desyncing straight away as i had this problem before. And i have tried this on 1.36 with exactly the same problem but i'll try more on 1.36

You can always try 1.337.

1.337 works with no lag once both sides firewalls have turned off, but i cant seem to get bomberman 5 working
