There's a very old ZSNES issue with Axelay regarding some bosses' on-screen presentation. I'm sorry if this is already known. You can see it with the stage 1 boss' appearance (background) and the stage 3 midboss. They're pretty evident, so I'm not explaining it further. The stage 3 boss' background seems to be affected some times too.
Wild Guns has a similar problem - The stage 1 background's 'deformation" is not handled properly (the area with the mountains on the left).
Both have been tested with May 27 wip windows version and enabling/disabling New GFX Engine and Old GFX Mode 2. SNES 9X doesn't have the issues, if it serves.
