wip set4 crashes when loading older save states..
Hell, whats going on to zsnes??? There is too many people working it, sometimes not doing a god job. Every version old problems are solved and new ones created....
That is what developing an emulator is like. If you can code better than the current developers, by all means help them. If you can't however, you have no right to say that they're not doing a good job.
in other words
If you don't know what you are talking about and/or can't make the emulator better yourself, shut the hell up.
and also
There are never too many people working on ZSNES.

Wip set 4 means nothing to me (it's unclear as to wtf you are talking about). In any case, any sort of core changes will break older savestates. This will be true now and forever with ANY EMULATOR including ZSNES.

I think the savestate backwards incompatibility problem should be added to the rules page.

I guess, but even then, savestate compatibility between many of the WIPs just aren't that kosher (especially ones from 1.42).
As for the board rules, it's not really necessary as this will be in the docs (and then we get the fun uber privilage to suggest rtfm).

Yes, it is sep4, I jumped the "p". What aggresive answer. Why that? Getting a bit emotional huh? Did i say any lie? This forum is "ZSNES Forum Index - > Bug Reports/Feature Requests" Doesnt it get better and worse? This is fact. There is too many people and sometimes they cant understand each other.
And no, i cant program better, im a lawyer not a programmer, so im reporting the bug ("bug reports/...", isnt?)
Suggestion: should explain all bigger glitches in a txt file. I have my life and i cant loose hours just to read what changed beteween the versions.
The fact is zsnes evolution was much better when just its original programmers used to work on it. Im not saying new ones are in bad intentions, but too many people tends to be more unorganised.

Different people have different goals. ZSNES was originally written for speed, and now the new devs are rewriting it in favor of accuracy and more maintainability. You can't rewrite a program of this size over night. Do you prefer getting no updates in the mean time?brunodts wrote:Every version old problems are solved and new ones created....

If you won't spend 10 minutes reading the documentation, then why should anyone spend 10 minutes to help you? Not all bugs are immediately identified after a new version is out. It would be nice of course, but that is what the forum search feature is for.brunodts wrote:Suggestion: should explain all bigger glitches in a txt file.
