spelling (or at least it does here in europe- 'wii' as in 'wee=urine!'), I just
dont see how nintendo will be able to get away with not changing it to
something more pleasant.. lol. Supposedly the name was partly chosen in
meaning 'we' rather than anything else (!)....
With their new console, Nintendo may want to reach out to new people that
have never played games regulary before and focus on
multi-user-playability, but with a name like 'Nintendo Wii' they may find it
difficult to attract new customers. Even if they still manage to do it, the
name isnt going to help matters in the slightest. Im glad that they are at
least trying to do something different by offering a new method of control,
graphically some of the new wii games at this early stage dont seem a
great deal more enhanced than whats on the gamecube at the moment.
Isnt the new Zelda game on the gamecube? It looks very good at this
stage visually from all the previews.

I could be wrong, but I think/hope that new control methods are going to
be focused upon more than ever with the next generation of consoles. I like the idea with titles such as the new Wii Mario game being able to use
either methods of control (traditional joypad or the wii standard).
I think that the traditional and wii pads will both be included in the system
straight out of the box?
Amazing graphics only go so far, and of course can take a long while to
develop for any game -something most companies probably wont be so
keen on using up a great deal of is time, especially if they dont have the
funds financially to do so..and as the tech specs of consoles become even
better (perhaps more so in a few console generations time), smaller
development companies may never be able to use any new machines to
their fullest.. graphically at least.
