Double clienting apps
Is there any way to run 2 programs at once with them both in focus?
Without one going to the background and not being in focus.
See me and my friend are trying to play ragnorok via tv out.
His video card has a dvi and a vga. his tv has a VGA and a DVI slot so we wanna run both of the videocards 2 channels to the one screen. Then use picture by picture mode on the tv.

The keyboard and mouse are going to be problems. Even if you have 2 keyboards and 2 mice, the keyboard will automatically be used by the active window and you only get 1 mouse cursor. Controllers, on the other hand, should work correctly.

Yes we wanna use a controler on one and a keyboard and mouse on another. If you know how to keep both windows in focus then we'll be fine.AntoineWG wrote:The keyboard and mouse are going to be problems. - Yes, but don’t change the subject.

I'd focus more on finding a way to keep it running in the other window without it getting completely backgrounded while it's not in focus.
You might also try the m$ Virtual PC (free). It keeps running, even when minimized, so it should keep playing if it's in the background. Whether it will actually support any kind of 3D acceleration or work with controllers, I don't know.

why not? (im 99% certain this can be done with certain emulators...)funkyass wrote:you can't.clessoulis wrote:Yes we wanna use a controler on one and a keyboard and mouse on another. Because you can only have one window focused at a time. certian emulators can accept input when not focused, but most commerical games don't.franpa wrote:why not?
