My 360... makes me hate M$ even more...

A while back , I had a problem with PDZ , M$ didn't wanna replace my disc but they wanted me to send in my console , I did , they found nothing wrong and instead of just sending my old console back and replacing my game , they send me a different 360...

Now it's broke and I gotta pay shipping to M$ , but the repair i sfree and they ship it back free...

I'm thinking I should of just sold it off without the HDD to a game shop and just bought a Wii... but I have a year of XBL wasted then...

I swear I have no luck sometimes... this just makes me more hyped up for the Wii

I would not buy a console unless I know it will be the sole system which will have a certain game I'm looking forward to. This is why out of the 3 new consoles I plan on getting a PS3 despite it's retarded price (later on of course, not during launch). Was there some amazing game on shitbox360 which you just HAD to have? Or did you just decide to jump on the bandwagon?

Here are some more reasons why a PS3 is good in my case. If the first didn't convince you I wasn't bullshitting just because I like Sony maybe these will:

- I have 1 hojillion PS1 and PS2 games I could play on it and my PS2 is dying
- I have about 6 controllers I could use on it
- I want a Blu-Ray player
- Some of my favourite series (MMX, SC, DMC, etc) are likely to be only on PS3
- There are very few X360 and Wii games I've heard of which I'm interested in

Just to be clear I'm not defending Sony and I'd say 50% of what they do is bullshit, I'm simply not interested in what MS and Nintendo have to offer. Otherwise why wouldn't I take a console that's half the price?

p.s. sony lost the beta max and vhs war, and they are gonna lose the blu-ray and hd-dvd war. when you can't get your favorite movies on blu-ray, you can enjoy your expensive ps3 by shoving it up your ass.

I have had to deal with that before. Not from MS and xbox, but a DVD player. The send off another one, I swapped my broken one with that, and sent mine back. What killed me was that the one I got was another broken one. What really killed was that they kept misdirecting me with this new one until my warranty expired then told me I'd need to pay them almost as much as a new one to get it repaired. (Mind you this is when they were running $300)

I've bought nearly every console since the NES days , I got 360 for the possibility of one day having it modded , but games like Oblivion , Saints Row , and Call of Duty 2... and I got 20% off so it made it only $17 more than the core system

When I was going to tech school I was getting $1300 every 2 months and it was just extra cash , so I bought a 360 , iPod video , an HDTV , a PSP , a 1.0 xbox and things to mod it , and some games

Soon I'll be getting a settlement from a wreck and I'm investing in a house and a car , I may even get a PS3 , I don't know any games I'll play on it , but it's can't be worse than my PS2 which sits in the original box after a week of use , or my PSP which only gets attention when some new custom firmware or homebrew comes out

I'm just a little pissed I gotta send in my 360 for repairs , I mean if they found nothing wrong with my old 360 why did they have to swap out for one that had a problem they "fixxed"

The only issues i've had with my 360 are its not region free like ps3 will be. Other than that its been a wonderfull thing just like Dreamcast.

In a year the PS3 price will drop from $600 to $450. If people can't afford to buy a high end HDTV then they won't need the $600 version. If Nvidia releases the G8 series then they have to reduce the price of the RSX. Buying a PS3 at launch is suicidal, let the guinea pigs test them. About Phonymike mentioning of the optical formats, I say that it depend on a question one must ask himslf: What I want to have? a cheap disc who scratches or a expensive disc that is durable? Then again ReRuss is rich so he will buy a PS3 as well unless he is reaching his 30's and have less time in his hand or decide to marry.

Where the fuck did you get the 600 to 450 dlls price range? If the PS2 is any precedent, they won't go below that price in a LONG time.

I have to agree with Joe here. I give it possibly two years before a tiny drop in price (IMO look for a $50 drop). The tech in there is still more expensive than the cost of the unit ATM.
