There are two main types of matches: safety matches, which can only be struck against a specially-prepared surface, and strike-anywhere matches, for which any sufficiently rough surface can be used.

In any case, this is nothing short of amusing.

I'm surprised they didn't accuse her of trying to ignite a bomb in her ass.

I still don't see why she didn't do what every other person does on the plane when they cut one. Either do it in the bathroom or turn all fo the little air jets on and blow it at the people behind you.

Mythbusters tested this and proved that matches do basically fuck all to cover up the smell.
