Red Alert 2 Patches

Post by Nach »

Anyone who played Red Alert 2 when it first came out would recall all the landmarks visited throughout the game.

Westwood's later patches to the game removed the names on the landmarks so it shouldn't look like the game supports terrorism. Info about that here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_&_ ... ontroversy

Interestingly Wikipedia there mentions there are patches online to restore the old naming of the buildings. Personally I couldn't care what the names of the buildings are, however in the Yuri's Revenge expansion pack, they had some celebrity heroes in the game, and they removed their special voices in the later versions. I really would love to play with 1.001, and hear "You are Terminated!" or "You've just been Erased!".

That Wikipedia article lacks links, and after searching for about an hour I could not find any patches to restore old building names or the old voices for Arnold Schwarzenegger and friends. The best I could find was mods that did that among 3000 other things to modify the game.

Anyone know where I can get patches to restore the original voices without changing a bunch of other things?

I found this:

Supposedly fixes a bunch of bugs and reverts the audio changes.
