Meh, I wish I didn't have to ask this... but does anyone happen to know a Genesis game where you had a flying ship and you killed stuff for points/money or whatever and could use to spend at a bank/building to power up your weapons and stuff like that...

Elaborate: A flying ship? Like a spaceship? Because I'm sure there was more than one game. If if was a normal ship that was flying, I guess the list would be shorter.

Well, I've given decent details.. and I'm sure the list should be short. It was probably more like one of those fighter jets or something, but I'm not really sure.

I'd almost say Area88/UN Squadron, but wasn't that SNES only?

That sounds like Xenon 2.
I don't like the Genesis version though, the frame rate seems too low to me...

On PC there was Raptor Call of the Shadows one of the best games of that kind of genre. Not what you were looking for, but if you haven't played it, check it out.
