Never heard of that, however they are supposed to be remaking the classic genesis game for GBA or DS this year.

Story of Thor was pretty good apparently, though I haven't really played it.

You're probably thinking of Alundra for the PSone. Darkstalker(s) was a fightingg game.

it's decent, but hard as hell without cheating, and quite boring quickly after you master it.

Actually, Snes Shadowrun is more fun than Genesis Shadowrun. I recommend Snes Shadowrun, it's a very fun game if you can deal with it's controls.

Shining Force II.
I wasted a LOT of time in high school on that game.
PS4 kicks ass, too.
PS2 kicks your ass and makes you like it.

I remembered how Alice draws to much attention on PS4. I wonder if the game was properly translated in the USA.

Y's III (plays like Zelda II - AoL). The funniest thing is that the music sounds much better than the SNES version, which is a rare thing to see.
Crusader of Centy (Soleil) also has lovely music.

Love that damn game. I always get stuck at the same spot though.

And yes, though PS2 is hard, the bizarre masochistic pleasure you get from having your ass handed to you constantly makes it worth it for some strange reason.
I was waiting for somebody to mention YS III, excellent game right there.
Fuck I need sleep, running on three days without now.

I played, and loved, Ys for PS2 - are the other games a similar battle system?

Are you talking about Ark of Napishtim? If that the case then Ys Oath of Felgana and Ys Origin shares almost the same engine. Nightwolve is about to release a English patch for Oath.
