How good/bad is it? I've been wanting to use it.
Depends where you are. Their always on data services in NYC are fantastic - best cell carrier phone I've ever had. Outside busy metro areas I hear they're not so hot though.

So, you wish, true, you don't know that, and who gives a fuck.
You can develop and run any OSX app you want for this - and it only bears a passing resemblance to this shitty looking device you've posted.

Does that mean I have to pay for a copy of OS X and then pay for a copy of x code too? Wait... then I have to get the code signed dont I... thats how it always works with manfucaturer's of phones... Aside from screen size, id like to hear what "shitty differences" you think are in the design.. you also know, the design for moko isnt even finalized yet...
... Ever take a look at the Earthbound ROM? I SWEAR THE PROGRAMMERS WERE ON CRACK WHEN THEY DID IT! JUST LOOK AT IT!
I wonder when m$ is going to announce their zPhone, a device that sounds cool because of the sheer number of buzzwords associated with it, but will be crippled by competition from the iPhone, crappy software support and a heaping helping of DRM?

You fucking fags arguing about which phone is better, you are well, fags. Better is a fucking relative term. You want something and another person wants something else.
Hmm. It's a proprietary device with pay-for proprietary content, that can get lost or stolen easily, that requires yet another monthly subscription to be even remotely useful.
omg I want 1 now
I will look so awesome while I roll around on my Segway I'm going to drive to the country club in the enclosed flatbed of my Hummer H2 (with installed PS3). Just wait.

Do you know how many things fall into this category? Even video game consoles fall into this.
'Tis what I'm implying. There are enough things to be subscribed to already, that are cheaper and arguably more useful. Cost per benefit ratio, I suppose.
my phone plugs in with the same usb cable that my 5 year old sony camera plugs in with. it then charges and gives unrestricted access to the micro sd card inside, where I can copy mp3s and movies that I haven't purchased onto. plus if you remove the back cover and stick a warm bananna peel inside it like a sandwich it feels totally awesome on my penis. can your crappy phone do that?
apple needs to change the name anyway, to like iBlock or iUnit or iStation, cause it's supposedly more than just a phone. it's certainly no more phone than my phone is, but the name and marketing is apple's only strategy. all they gotta do is give Bono (for the older crew,) Paris Hilton (for all the teeny fags,) and the next american idol winner a free iPhone and then everyone on the planet will want one cause these people have one.
most cell phones I hear sound as good as a lan line. hell my buddie's palm trio sounds as good as a lan line over his blue tooth!
$600 USD for an "8GB" phone bearing the mark of Apple? No thanks, there are many other stupid things to do with $600 which won't earn me a swift punch to the face as this cell phone would. I was going to compare it's absurd price to the PS3 but it looks like someone beat me to it. Fuck Apple and any other companies related to it.
I love how the gui rolls all around from different applications, tilt sensor just to make everyone elses' pants tighter (even the ladies!) and also the multi touch sensing as you 'un-pintch' (I copyrighted that word, I'd like to see apple try and use it) to expand photos and shit.
I must say I'm disapointed with myself. while watching this video, I thought to myself "that's hot." that is one fancy piece of hardware + software, one I will not be buying anytime soon.

Yes well, it may be sleek and shiny but face reality, it's a weak computer with a fancy graphical interface crammed into a phone. $600 USD is $710 CAD so naturally Apple will do what all companies do (raise the price outside of the US) and sell it for $1000 (+ tax = $1140) in Canada and that's on a 2 year contract. $1140? No thanks, I'll take a laptop instead.
I got my phone (SE z520a) almost 2 years ago, and it does all the same shit (minus the fancy graphical garbage) the iPhone does. Except it didn't cost me an arm, a leg, a 3 pure souls and 8 liters of virgin blood, it was $70 on a 2 year contract. The only dilemma is that this old model (unlike the recent versions) didn't come with an option to add any memory sticks to store lots of info so only a few songs and stuff could be stored on it. That would have been a problem if it weren't for the fact it came with a free MP3 Player. I win, up yours Apple.
Why the iPhone is Cingular-only is way beyond me. I highly doubt people who don't have Cingular will switch carriers just to get an iPhone. I know that some will, but many won't, and Cingular has pathetic reception. Very few people around here will get it, becuase it simply won't work.
Never bought into the hype surrounding these expensive mobile phones. I have a Nokia brick which I barely use that someone gave me for free. I don't need anything more than Text/Phonecall.
