He is a decent artist, but it's nothing o wow about. A tablet can do wonders in comparison to a mouse.

One of my friends tried to cite Wikipedia as a reference as part of a piece of Masters coursework, and got a stern ticking off from our lecturer for it.

Wikipedia is good for some things, but not as research material for serious stuff, as the content can be highly suspect and often devoid of references.

You sir, put my very thoughts of the site to words. I completely agree with you. Wikipedia isn't super accurate, but it is useful, and can usually provide a wealth of useful information, or at the very least, point you in the right direction.

I for one wouldn't go so far as to say that the entire site sucks. Obvious from phonymike's efforts, they seem to have vandalism under control at least. Perhaps what all of you who are too immature to say anything more than "it sucks" are trying to say, is that it's not accurate, and shouldn't be cited as often as it is. Which I can definitely agree with.

Wikipedia is absolutely fine for things that are mainly fact based only. I have used it tons of times for information on diseases and sicknesses as well as information on materials used in construction of electronics components, fabrication information, and more.

It's been highly accurate in all of those areas.

I think people like to generalize Wikipedia is so horrible because sometimes vandalization occurs and people's biography's and political entries are inaccurate. That might be true, but as a whole, I find much more correct information on there than I do incorrect.
