Apparently other people have a lot more time and money than I do... My jealousy bone just twitched.

If you think the winner will pay, you are stupid. A complete NES collection is not worth a third of that. This is not a complete NES collection, it apparently is missing most of the rarest games. Plus most of the games are cart-only, diminishing its value. I would take the current bid with a grain of salt.
<pagefault> i'd break up with my wife if she said FF8 was awesome

And I thought my $96 for SMT: Nocturne was retarded...
I can't understand why somebody would even pay over $20,000 for only 670 NES games. Maybe if it was a complete collection, but it isn't. Thats over $30 per game, I can understand that for some games, but definitely not all of them. Theres a local store around here that sells used NES games, and NONE of them are above $20.
I have too agree though, I highly doubt the current bid is serious on any level.

Looks like the guy cancelled your bid.phOnYmIkE wrote:yo, my bid has a butterfly effect on the next bids. I bid $24,762.31, now the numbers are all weird, and end in .31 teeheehee. fuck faces
Man reading the bidding history on this is funny. Apparently the seller is contacting bidders to verify theyre for real. Like it will be any help. Im going to have to keep watching this stupidity.
he didn't contact me about bidding. and how did you know my bids were canceled before I even did?...

Even though your identity is hidden when you bid these days on eBay, you mentioned the amount you bid. That odd amount with the .31 So when you look at that first bid with the odd .31 on it it was canceled in the bidders' list.phOnYmIkE wrote:he didn't contact me about bidding. and how did you know my bids were canceled before I even did?...
Edit 7:
Ahhh now this is funny. It looks like theyre trying to invalidate the auction now. I just saw a 1,000,000.00 Bid

It's really sad... he stripped most of the manuals out for a separate auction.
Like badinsults pointed out, most of the games are naked, and the unlicensed ones aren't there.
And on top of it all... StackUp isn't even playable. The ROB parts that came with the game are missing, and ROB is far more integral to StackUp than he is to Gyromite.
StarTropics is similarly incomplete, as the manual(or rather, a "letter" glued to the back of it) was an actual part of the game. But that's just a trip to GameFAQs to fix.
