does Zsnes support Vista?
Hi, I have ordered the Windows Vista home premium 64 Bit version and just want to know how Zsnes works with Vista. Is there something special to consider?
Thanks
Thanks

ZSNES doesn't support Vista, but Vista supports ZSNES.
May 9 2007 - NSRT 3.4, now with lots of hashing and even more accurate information! Go download it.

during all the betas, ZSNES worked flawlessly, for the most part.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Nach is not an original developer. It appears he began working on ZSNES somewhere between v1.36 and v1.40 (2002-2004).denilsonnery wrote:no is only a question because i want to know when you start developing zsnes?
ZSNES was first released on October 14, 1997. Refer to this: http://zsnes-docs.sourceforge.net/html/history.htm for more information.

Nach's response was exactly what I said to myself when I read the topic. A better question might have been "Does ZSNES tolerate Windows Vista?". This reminds me of my pet peeve with people referring to an emulator that runs (for example) on the PSP as a "PSP emulator". A PSP emulator is a program that emulates a PSP, and thus probably runs on some other platform (like a PC). A PSP program which emulates the SNES is a SNES emulator.

More appropriate questions should be more along the lines of:
Does ZSNES work in Vista?
Is Vista supported by ZSNES?
All of these questions are actually answered in the docs.

Yea, the confusion is stupid. They are trying to "obtain an emulator that runs on the PSP" (eg. Can ZSNES run on the PSP?), but they manage make it sound like we "try to emulate the PSP" (eg. Can ZSNES play the PSP? - or something that sounds just as silly). I think that needs to be stopped, but I dunno how one solves such a dilemma.blargg wrote:Nach's response was exactly what I said to myself when I read the topic. How is this different than the question asked in the thread title? The only difference is the thread title is active voice, and your question is passive voice.Deathlike2 wrote:More appropriate questions should be more along the lines of:
