help with rom patching on macs

HI

I was just wondering if anyone could help me patch a ROM on mac. I'm using snes9x (btw i am dumb). I downloaded the ips patcher, but i can't seem to open it.

I think you can soft patch (apply the patch at run-time without changing the ROM image) with Snes9x. Just make sure the IPS file has the same file name, excluding the extension.

Example: You want to patch super_mario_world.sfc with Super_Mario_Galaxy_Super_Patch.ips.

• Change super_mario_world.sfc to Super_Mario_Galaxy_Super_Patch.sfc
  OR
• Change Super_Mario_Galaxy_Super_Patch.ips to super_mario_world.ips.

[edit] Oh, and, keep them in the same directory. :S
