Default for Save Settings....
Hello, what are the default setting for the Save options? The games have been saving automatically since i've started using zsnes, but for some reason have stopped doing this over the last week or so. I'm wondering if i have changed some settings. I've never actually used the saving options, because as you all know, snes saves itself for many games like Super Mario etc. and i wanted to keep that function making it feel as much like the snes as possible. I don't really want to do anything fancy. I just want to save things like records for fighting and racing games, and have it done automaticatically after quiting or resetting much like on the snes....

The saves are automatically saved in the same folder the rom is in. These files have the extension srm.darkuser9 wrote:Hello, what are the default setting for the Save options? Not by default, but you should do yourself a favor and define a save folder and putting all your save files to it. It will save you the trouble.darkuser9 wrote:Are there supposed to be anything in the paths boxes?....it's strange because, like i've said, i've been saving automatically for some time...btw deleting the cfg file won't do anything to the srm files will it?

That's not quite true, it has an effect on cheat files, game specific key map files, snapshots (when that path is not defined), movie files... (just go read the docs damnit)..Agozer wrote:Defining a save path only changes where ZSNES looks for and saves save states and SRAM. It has no effect on anything else.
This will change somewhat in 1.60, just make sure to check out the WIP docs at the SF doc website...
