I always thought this was because of the hi-res graphics.Mark57Raider wrote:The transition from the environment to the items screen really goes kinda slow sometimes. The controls don't respond every time you select something and there is a little bit of lag in between getting recovery, attack or travel items out of storage

Okay, maybe you do got a point now that I realize it. The enemies starting out do come kinda slow, but usually i try to hit hard and fast with somersault kicks, some punches and a whole lot of ninja stars. It does seem like your speed running goes slow, but I never really realized it when I playedJohan_Hanberg wrote:Yeah, it's not like the battles run at 12 fps or whatever as they do in Ninja Boy.
I really have to play through that game again.

I could never find myself to play a simulator game. I watched a friend play Sim City 2000 on the play station, but I really didn't care for it. I bet Diablo II would be pretty fun to get into, but I haven't tried it out.Angelus wrote:actually there are a few games that have kept me busy, Diablo II, Lord of Destruction (been playing that for years and finally learned how to make mods for it) Delta force 2, and sim city 3000, old games but still fun to play

you gotta try it, once you start playing that game it will keep you busy for quite some time.

I finished Emma's and I liked it, although the final part is really sad. I started playing Alyssa's and only got to the escape part... I really need to finish that one.Joe Camacho wrote:There is actually two ways of playing the game. According to one trivia decision in the beginning. You can either side with Emma and the "Americans" or Lukav and the DMZ. Both games feature totally different scenarios.Mark57Raider wrote:Front Mission 3 was alright, but the story messed me up alot. I know Kuzuki had stumbled upon some Government secrets, that the military was hiding. Then a whole bunch of soldiers had found them and that everyone was trying to kill him and his friends; and somewhere along the way Alisa had gotten kidnapped by Lukav and it's up to you and your rag tag team of wanzer buddies to save her and deal with the governments Lost Number Machines. Very endepth story, but kinda confusing at times. I never got around to finishing even though i logged in at about 44 hours.
For example, in Emma's story you have to fight those red mercenaries, in Alyssa's story you fight alongside them.
I liked Emma's story the best.

I don't think 800x600 adds anything of value for me, except not being as short sighted, which I don't really care.darkbenny wrote:make sure you get LOD with it unless you like 640/480
LoD added a lot of other good stuff though, like persistent minions and mercs, runes, larger stash size, and all that other stuff.

I like the way you think... then again, it's called VIVA Pinata and not Massacre Pinata, Genocide Pinata, or Severely Mame Pinata. Then again, they could always change the name like all the other Wii and PSP ports. Or make it a diabolical EVIL sequel.Louis Cypher wrote:Viva Pinata needs to be on the Wii.

A larger field of vision, useful when being swarmed by enemies.MisterJones wrote:I don't think 800x600 adds anything of value for me, except not being as short sighted, which I don't really care.darkbenny wrote:make sure you get LOD with it unless you like 640/480

i've recently picked up dragon quest V again. i am really digging the character dialogue; i never noticed how good it was during my first playthrough. this translation is definately one of dejap's finest.
i notice that the plot is very reminiscent of breath of fire II, and some of the key sequences are very similar. maybe they had the same writers working for both games? oh man, now i want to pick up bof2 agin.

For some reason, reading this has made me want to play BoF:DQ again.lockharte wrote:i've recently picked up dragon quest V again. i am really digging the character dialogue; i never noticed how good it was during my first playthrough. this translation is definately one of dejap's finest.
