Popups on IE - even at blank pages
Moderator: General Mods
I use IE cause I've never had any problems with it. never got any virii from any websites, and no popups. if you people are having such problems with IE, rather than bitching about how much you love firefox and all this other bullshit, why don't you idiots just buy a mac and shut the fuck up.

thats cause your mom installed NetNanny(tm) on your machine and you still haven't figured out how to get around it
plus all you do is hold "F5" while looking at zboard anyway

question:
if I held F5 all the time, then I would not get to see the updated zboard. it reloads too quickly to see the new context. so what would be the purpose of pressing F5 in the first place?

clearly, you've set the repeat rate on your keyboard to be slow enough as to allow a full page refresh.
doubtless you spent many weeks precisely calculating the average time to load the page versus the given repeat rate of the keyboard, and have it graphed based upon times of day, due to server load being higher at certain times of the day.
perhaps you have a script to do it all for you, automatically refreshing the page after a reload, sending you a text message or perhaps a warning shot anytime there is a new post.
in fact i imagine that within 15 seconds of me hitting "submit", red lights will begin strobing in your room and that star trek "WEERRRRRRRP" sound will begin emanating from your computer.

I know they don't. I use Firefox for most of my browsing as well. But since IE comes with just about every installation of Windows, and Mac OS as well, most people still use it. However I still need to use Internet Explorer for the sites that don't support Firefox. Windows Update, Yahoo Launchcast, and Powerleap are just a few examples.soulmata wrote:The truth is, Analhiated, the majority of the sites on the Internet do not require IE. It is not a "standard" browser by any stretch of the word. Ditching IE is a very feasible option, moreso than it ever has been before - and that isn't just because of Firefox.
