Best RPG List

Post by Seritho »

Hello, I'm trying to compile a list of some great RPGs for the SNES. The following is my list so far and I was hoping other Rpgers might add to it so I can go out and find games that would be more to my style. Also, some of these I have not yet played due to some technical problems, I am just listing them as my loves or at the very least my interests.

1. Final Fantasy - I love this series, taking my time warming up to the earliest episodes but pretty much any game in this series is good to down right awesome.

2. Der Langrisser - A new title to me but the artwork, the story and the game play are obviously the forefathers and mothers of so many games that we love today. Haven't gotten far but I am very interested.

3. Breath of Fire I & II - Boy changes into dragon to save the world? Whats not to love. Breath of Fire for the SNES was hands down my favorite RPG of all time, even exceeding or at the very least tying with Final Fantasy 6(3 in the states).

4. Bahamut Lagoon - Still a new title to me, but anything with Bahamut in the title I want to check out, The King of Dragons. Graphics and such look pretty good, looking forward to it.

5. Feda: Emblem of Justice - Could be good, could be bad, still looking into it but the graphics seem promising, a little bit faded character art judging from the intro but could get better.

6. Chrono Trigger - Name speaks for itself, a great classic.

7. Secret of Evermore - Another Good Title, not the greatest but still noteworthy.

8. Secret of Mana - Another of my first SNES loves, the sequel is currently under investigation.

Well thats all that I can think of for now, looking forward to seeing what you have to add as well!

Seiken Densetsu 3, Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean, MarioRPG, Lufia2, Dragon Quest, Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Fire Emblem, Front Mission are among the goods.

Also, if Evermore and Feda made it into the list, might as well add Rudra no Hihou, DarkLaw, Romancing Saga, Illusion of Gaia, LiveALive

Sweet, I actually knew some of those titles but totally forgot about them, time to go and scrounge them up. And I also managed to fix my little game problem so now I can finally play! YAY!

<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?
