Star Ocean for the SNES - Ressurection Bottles and Curing

Post by Seritho »

Does anyone know where I can buy or how I can make Ressurection Bottles and how I can cure my character's Petrafication?

Yeah I use them regularly, the only problem is that I already looked and couldn't find even a mention of petrafication or even where one finds Resurrection Bottles, so I was wondering if any one else had any experience in this matter.

Looks like your spelling needs help. :P

You aren't looking hard enough.

Yeah, how does one spell Petrification...honestly...heh. But seriously, I actually read through several faqs and none tell anything more than to get those items save through finding them, most of which are near the end of the game.

Yeah I just found that, but aside from dispel, which is looking like my best bet at the moment, I still cannot find out where to find Cure Stone.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of item shops throughout the game (in many RPGs anyhow), so it is very likely accessible more often than not.

That is the weird thing, nary an item shop sells a single way to get your party up on their feet after death nor a cure stone potion, not at least at this point in the game where I am.

RPG Classics is an awesome site in general. The only place on the net for information on Beyond Oasis/The Story of Thor

The biginning of the game sucks sometimes in that you can't find Resurrection bottles anywhere. You get about 5, and then you have to wait for a long time before you can buy them.

I would have just found a par code for items, then change the value till you find what you're looking for. would take pry ten minutes, and you'd find some other items that are pry impossible to get in the game.

Oh, you mean like that.
It's a bit tough for a newbie, since it involves *gosh* 2 bytes not right next to each other. Make it 30 minutes.

Funny that you should say Ressurection Bottles are hard to find. I just pick them up at the stores in Ratix's hometown.

was dying really that big of a problem in Star Ocean for people? they give you so much to work with in battle. I didn't realize it was such an ordeal. If you fight with a little tactics and keep your eyes on your health you'll do alright.

But, but... in Final Fantasy I can just tape down the A button and win everything!
