Kefka was scary... when I was four. Clowns aren't that bad anymore.

FF1's Garland actually succeeded in fucking the world over permanently. Even if you defeat him, the world is still fucked. And on top of it, he will knock you all down!

I actually don't like Kefka, it's just that everytime someone rants about Sephiroth, they have to say somewhere that Kefka was a 10000% better villain than him.

one thing:

I really enjoyed FFVII and FFVI and I am convinced FFVIII is a very good game too.

If you play a game while having strong stereotyped ideas about it, chances are you will not like it. People spent years of hard work to come to this result and they did a great job. If you tried nearly all the pseudo-clones that exist, you would admit with no real difficulty that the FF series is quality.

You know, if I was as narrow-minded as some people I would say "all tactical rpgs are shit".

People saying that either they're the best or worse games in the universe should think about it more, or they do not have enough critical thinking and objective judgmental aptitudes.

Bottom of the northern cave, there is one are where a group of enemies called 3 movers (little bouncing dots) give you something like 2400 AP per battle - with a weapon with x2 or x3 growth it's a cakewalk.
