Ok, so I just stupidly realized this game got translated.
From the news posts I have read, it looks like zsnes and snes9x have problems (Or had problems) running the game, so:
As if now, do Zsnes and Snes9x still have problems running the game, should I cut the chase and just download Bsnes?
Is the game worth playing? Anything that keeps my from Grindarok Online is good though.

How about you, you know, read the readme...

bsnes is the only emulator that plays it 100% correctly. There is a workaround for ZSNES according to it though.

You should download bsnes anyway, even if you don't plan on playing Der Langrisser.Joe Camacho wrote:should I cut the chase and just download Bsnes?

But it's been some days since the release, maybe someone had found a better workaround or something.
I'll download bsnes as soon as I find that rom.
Edit.- Rom found, now to get bsnes.

We've since discovered that SNESGT is also capable of playing Der Langrisser without crashing.
ZSNES, SNES9x and SNEeSe are not. Not even the latest versions. After a few minutes / hours, the game audio will cut out, and then the game will slow down until it crashes, with no way to recover. Not a good prospect when you realize this game has 2-3 hour long battles.
However, if you're desperate and don't mind monaural sound output, uncheck "stereo sound" in ZSNES and it should (hopefully) work without crashing. I would, however, advise against this. Der Langrisser has one of the best audio tracks on the SNES. It would be a shame to degrade the audio quality to monarual. SNES9x and SNEeSe have no known workaround.
Or if you don't mind playing without sound, Super Sleuth can play the game fine, too.

Indeed, I gave it a spin with Bsnes. Although saving between each turn, and closing the emulator if my nasty computer crashes again (Not emulator related, my pc is just crapping on me).
Pretty fun game, although I feel it a bit slow, maybe it's the "main unit = couple of other units" thin, I need to get used to it.
