Staff who can edit site
Look at this: http://www.dejap.com/feoez.php
A bit outdated.
We now have the graphics packs at 100% weighing in at ~3MB compressed in two files.
See http://nsrt.edgeemu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=248
No need for Dexor either.
All graphics found thanks to CaitSith2 reverse engineering the game.
Can someone update it?

That's just plain sad that nobody can update the website.

In case you hadn't noticed--nobody who's posted in this topic actually owns the site.HalfShadow wrote:Heh. This is sad. You rubes can't even edit your own site.
Yeah. I guess you missed that.

The point is all of DeJap does not have access to the DeJap page. That is definitely sad. It's completely useless to have a DeJap site that no one from DeJap can update.
Go somewhere that lets you edit your own page for god's sake.

You guys ever try hacking the page, lol

<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

No, I guess I didn't: 'DF has gotten back to me... unfortunately, no, he doesn't have site access right now either. -_-' (Dark Force: Group Coordinator, Programmer, Webmaster)ThunderClaw wrote:In case you hadn't noticed--nobody who's posted in this topic actually owns the site.HalfShadow wrote:Heh. Stop being so painfully stupid. Anyway, who the hell sets up a site that only a single person (assumablely) can update?
Yes, but DF hasn't actually posted.
The problem here is that DeJap originally had a whole bunch of people working on stuff. Sadly, now DeJap effectively consists of only Dark Force. There *isn't* anyone else. So to answer your question, a group consisting of one person would obviously set up a site that only one person can update.

Cidolfas:
You have a point, although you, Bisqwit, and Tomato are Dejap contributors. You guys should be able to do *something* with it.
If need be, Dejap should have some sort of script that allows all of you to update news and some content in other places.
I know Bisqwit wrote some script for you before, perhaps ask him if he can script up the site a bit?
Checkout this marelous site he made: http://bisqwit.iki.fi/nesvideos/
The site is all PHP and everyone has different levels of how much they can change on the site from the site itself.

Yes, I saw the script. It requires you to upload a plain-text file in a certain format. You can't just update the site with a form.
I've done plenty of PHP-izing myself (lots of stuff on RPGClassics is my work) so I'd be willing to do that given the time, but I can't make it if I have no access. 8p
Unfortunately I don't talk to DF as much as I used to because I'm on ICQ maybe half an hour a day, so if I miss him I miss him. -_- I usually miss him. And he has no reliable e-mail address, nor does he visit this forum. It'll be tough getting hold of him.

I finally got my ICQ up and running, so I'll try contacting you or DF sometime soon.
And don't worry, I have both you contacts.

I haven't done anything for DeJap in years, and back then there was a lot of stuff going on, the zsnes server moved a lot for some reason or another, so the login info kept changing. Also, until Bisqwit updated the site whenever (like a year ago I think), everything was hand-done HTML, which was very icky.

OT: So is he still working on the SO translation, or is that effectively dead?Cidolfas wrote:The problem here is that DeJap originally had a whole bunch of people working on stuff. As long as the tools and data that were used to make the SO translation are not lost, it's not dead :)
It's just the matter of time allocation and motivation.
But I'm surprised to hear DF doesn't have access to the site now...
Ps: "Posts: 1"?? Just how often does this board reset everything... I wonder.
