Wii Classic Controler question

Post by corronchilejano »

Is the Wii classic controller compatible with the GameCube? As in has somebody managed to connect it to a GameCube and make it work?

considering it plugs into the wiimote, the answer is no.
Does [Kevin] Smith masturbate with steel wool too?

- Yes, but don’t change the subject.

I doubt it.

What would you use it for?

I got a GameCube for a ridiculous price, and it has two controllers. I have two classic ones for the Wii, and purchasing the two additional controllers is 50 bucks I'd like to keep.

I think the point is he'd like FOUR GAMECUBE controllers.

If I get this right...

he has a wii, which is a gamecube for all usable intents and purposes, and goes and gets a gamecube?

this sounds like the chewbacca defense.

like, go and get some used GC controllers.

short answer: From what I've seen in my searching, no

long answer: It would prolly cost more for the whole modding process then to buy used controllers which you can get cheaper than $50 here. That's a total value of $30 for two controllers, isn't that great?

the answer is no. sell the gamecube, and use the profit to buy more controllers. you don't need a wii and a gamecube, don't even try to justify that one.

I got a GC for $1... yes, $1. My cousin is now in my house all the time but I don't like him touching my Wii... he's 7.

I guess I'll need to just buy the two additional controllers then.

PS: Yes, I understand I wrote touching my Wii.

The TV might not.

ok, that makes a little more sense, still, I think there really only is one solution.

I think a wii will survive a 7yo

My wii has survived a 6yo who could almost be on one of them nanny shows (note he does not play anything but classics unless an adult is around) , and just today a dog kicked my wii over , not off a stand so it didnt take a fall

But unless somebody comes out with some adapter , you cant use a classic on a GC

I let my 5 year old brother play WarioWare, although I do supervise him so that the only thing he could possibly break is the Wiimote.

Guess what. It only took 20 seconds of game for my Ledded-up Wiimote to go flying out the window... in a 4th floor.

Despite that, I let my cousing continue playing. I think I'll give that GC to a consoless friend. Birthday on the 15th.

I actually didn't use the strap, so I had removed it. I now enforce it's use among anyone other than I. I gotta give it to Nintendo though, the damn Wiimote works normally.

I think I'll keep the cube. I now have every machine since the NES (although my N64 is in another part of the country). I'm only missing the Virtual Boy and the Huge Gameboy.

I still have my big gameboy that I bought when they were brand new, I usually had a bad habit of never gettin rid of my gaming stuff , so I own nearly every console that hit US shores (plus a couple that hasnt) , still missing a PS3 but I'm in no rush for that... luckily AT&T is sendin me a $300 best buy gift card because of their promotion that they had goin on when I got another plan...
