Gonna buy me a Wii
Hey, right now I'm deciding on getting me a Wii. The problem is, I can't seem to find any for a decent prices for one. Sure there's Ebay, but, can I really trust it and not get ripped off? Anyone know where I can get em for a good deal?

about 15 seconds worth of google search. Enjoy

if I were you, I would wait until after christmas for bundle pricing, then again they might all be sold out too.
What I did was just always check for Wiis when you are going to walmart, or target, or EBgames, or whatever. You might just be lucky and end up there on one of their shipment days.

Well that's what the feedback is for. If you've got a seller with like 8000 feedback, 99.9% positive, I'd say you're pretty safe.
With larger, more delicate packages like that, I personally worry more about the post than anything.

I'm currently bidding one that has over 60,000 responses on it!! It's around 150 bucks, and is apparently still in very good condition. So far so good.
Edit 5:53PM MST -
I didn't stick with eBay, so, I just got one from another site. Got a new one for $318, not bad considering how hard they are to find (for a reasonable price). So, I'm pretty excited to get one.

you bought just the console for that much! **face in palm** I don't care how hard they are to find, was it really worth $100 bucks not to wait man?!
uh, I just looked up nintendo really quick, and they don't sell wii's they just sell parts and accessories and refer you to other retailers for other products. See here

were you scammed?

What I meant was that the dealer I used apparently gets them straight from Nintendo. Forgot to mention that I guess. I checked the source I got if from, which was www.ebgames.com, so it's legit for sure.

you seem to be forgetting supply and demand here.snkcube wrote:I hope the one you bought came with extras like games or Wii-motes.

<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

my brother bought me one back in mid june. He didn't plan ahead or anything, and all local stores were sold out, but he just drove around smaller towns in the area and found some gamestop/ebgames that had it for the regular price.
I agree, if you can't find it for a reasonable price just wait, if you buy, then you are only feeding the problem of overpriced goods.

I went cross-country with my friend when he moved to California... we were just hanging out with his friend there, doing some shopping for games and whatnot. We walked into a Circuit City and there was one just sitting there, behind the counter. I asked them if it was real
It was funny because I guess some guy had asked for one 5 minutes before me but the lady he asked didn't see the one behind the counter.
That's my magical, romantic story of how I got my Wii. For retail.

that seller is either not too bright, or running a questionable business.blackmyst wrote:The one I got off Ebay was brand new, box never opened, yet I paid less than retail.
