I never thought I was a huge Sonic fanboy, but this news made me so freakin giddy. Sonic is just... cool! I mean... the electric guitars... the badass attitude... the bright red shoes... the spiky hair...

No, but seriously, I really like Sonic, and if he's a solid character (looks like he will be) I'll be making use of him a lot. Anyone else pumped we can finally make Sonic and Mario beat each other up in an official game in a few months?

And yes. My 50th post on the zsnes board is about Sonic the Hedgehog.

(edited to be more specific)

yeah I'd be disapointed if fox is still faster than him, but he looks like he can hand out pain, and he has a spindash for quick movement on flat stages.

and YES, I am pumped about the plumber and the hedghog duking it out, people have been waiting for this since the early 90s, I mean there have been GANGS formed around this fued!

Well, I can't wait to try this out whatever it comes out. That EGM April Fools Joke sure worked out 5 years later.

it has a video with the SA2 main theme song and a montage of Sonic kicking Mario's ass. and of course, his final smash is Super Sonic.

if you're behind in the updates there is also a fall video compilation that showcases a lot of the new stuff. The games almost here folks, just a few more months!
A. The world is ending! Hell froze over yesterday!
B. I am saddened that his theme isn't Sonic Boom.

aye, so am I, either the US or the JAP version, that would have been superb. It could still be in there, but it would have been cooler if they had used it primarily.

yes, I'm still holding out for Geno myself. Megaman is more likeley though.

I wouldn't mind "Fighter/Warrior" from FFI either but he seems reserved for Final Fantasy Dissidia.

how about Battletoads? :) **WHACK Whack Whack Whack Whack Whack BIFF!!!!!!**

hmm, nice, but lets focus on the goods Intro or Good Ending

Sonic Boom! Sonic Boom! Sonic Boom! (trouble keeps you runnin' faster)
Sonic Boom! Sonic Boom! Somic Boom! (save the planet from disaster)
Sonic Boom! Sonic Boom! Sonic Boom! (spinnin' though the world in motion)
Sonic Boom! Sonic Boom! Sonic Booooom...

yeah, good stuff, this needs to be in brawl to make it real :D

on a side note, how's THIS for the ideal smash bros controller. Wireless + Rumble + Classic button layout = I will get.

wow, someone shoot the rapper, oh my it's just not good is it. the "you can do anything" part is as good as it gets. Sonic Boom totally owns the jap one.

listen to the title screen music, it's a part of that song but that part alone is actually better, get rid of the rapper and it isn't that bad.

see briefly here, and then it goes into the intro again OH NO! KILL THE RAPPER!

"toot toot sonic warrior" :P

I thought the J/Europe version would have been greatly improved by removing the asian chick, actually.

Toot-toot, indeed.

hmm, I suppose, it was the only part of the song with melody though, I was more speaking of the song than the vocalist. so you would have taken it as a rap? I suppose it would have some instrumental solos if you got rid of the chick.

In any case I think the best part of that version is in the title screen.

on another note, how is this

http://www.thrustmaster.com/product.asp ... tformID=10

for a nice smash bros pad. Wireless, rumble, with classic button setup, including features such buttom mapping, slow-mo, turbo, etc. and is supposed to have the battery life of a wiimote.

the T-Wireless NW by Thrustmaster.

I know I'm getting one when it comes out, hopefully before February so I can get my brawl on with it from the begining.

EDIT: on second thought, that d-pad looks a little precarious, hmm....

You know, I wasn't nearly as excited by Sonic's inclusion than I was when I heard that Jill from Drill Dozer's in the game.

Then they told me she's just an assist trophy, and I was sad :(

yeah, I'd gladly trade out some of the main characters for other people not included as main characters. Thus is life I suppose.

I want Ridley.

I mean, there's Ganondorf, why not the bigger, flying, overpowered nemesis of another character ?

seriously though Ridley would be cool but how the heck would he fit in the levels? I mean he'd fit, but he'd be one hell of a target, and his head would be sticking through platforms. How about as a boss though, hell yeah.
