I got one of the old "limited edition" platinum GBAs and I never use it , yet I have the SuperCardSD (which apparently works better for DS)
I'm wondering if I could possibly mod it somehow to make it a lil better , maybe a backlight , but from what I hear it has this screen that would cause a glare , but would one of those screen protectors which seen to have this glareproof look work with a backlight mod?
Or possibly some other mod that may be useful?
What to do with an old GBA...

The only way you'll get a backlight in it is to steal a screen from an SP2.ReRuss wrote: I'm wondering if I could possibly mod it somehow to make it a lil better , maybe a backlight , but from what I hear it has this screen that would cause a glare , but would one of those screen protectors which seen to have this glareproof look work with a backlight mod?
There's plenty of FRONTLIGHT mods, though.
Anyways, the screen protector is only an issue with external lights. Mod implies internal, so no worries.

Ummm, what?snkcube wrote:I know that the shapes of both screens are different.clessoulis wrote:Are the screensizes from the sp and the orginal gba even the same size?
They're both rectangles. With identical resolutions.
As I understand things, the SP screens are the exact same size as the GBA screens.
The MICRO screens, of course, are much smaller.
I DON'T know that the screens are even remotely interchangable, though.

Well, it sure would be awesome. I love the way the old GBA feels in my hands, I like it better than any newer handheld actually.

Crap, I meant to say the borders around the screens are different. But that shouldn't be a big problem though.Gil_Hamilton wrote:Ummm, what?snkcube wrote:I know that the shapes of both screens are different.clessoulis wrote:Are the screensizes from the sp and the orginal gba even the same size?
