After an extremely lengthy betatest period, Aeon Genesis has released a completed translation of Metal Max Returns, a post-apocalyptic RPG with a strong emphasis on heavy artillery.
Metal Max is an open, nonlinear RPG with a heavy focus on sidequests and tank tweaking. The main game has you chasing bounty heads and finding new vehicles for your entourage, but there’s so much other stuff to do! You can pimp your tanks with decals and accessories, you can buy furniture and wall hangings for your home, play with little critters that eat your money and grow to enormous proportions, or enjoy a host of minigames. Go hunting for this week’s target and become a rich and famous bounty hunter!

whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on? sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

If you read the readme that comes in the zip, it says if it doesn't run after patching it is because the patch can only be applied to a rom without a header. Remove your header and try again.
[code]<Guo_Si> Hey, you know what sucks?

40-ish hours, depending on how much of it you try to see. There's a lot to see (for maximum enjoyment) but there's not a lot that NEEDS to be seen (for purely saying that you beat the game.)

It works good in 1.51 and 1.36. The font will be Japanese or not clear if you play it in 1.42. It's a pretty good game so far, but I have issues with the people not telling you the details of where to go, or what town to save next.

I haven't played the game yet but I would suppose that 'Welcome to nonlinearity!' is an appropriate response.
That's pretty much it. It's not difficult to figure out what to do; just talk to a bunch of people, visit the towns as you come to them, and don't drive too far forward before you can handle the enemies in the region. Towns are generally laid out in the "appropriate" visiting order, and if you suddenly find yourself in the middle of a war zone, you might want to retreat for a bit. Use a bit of common sense, don't push yourself too hard, and get info from a lot of people and you should be okay.

Wow! This game is definitely a gem hidden by translation. Congrats Louis Cypher on finishing the translation off, it is great. As always it is a superb looking and feeling translation, hell even the jokes are translated great.

'cuz I ripped it from Earthbound.
On another note, I seem to have trouble running it. I´m trying to use the autopatcher, but the game runs to a black screen. I got the first rom dump you find when clicking on search it on google.

I know the fonts were ripped from Earthbound, but the game has a certain feel to earthbound.

Hmmm, I can´t seem to find my old Snes Tool. Where else can I download an utility to remove headers?
