ZSnes Version: 1.51
CPU: P4 1.8 GHZ
Memory: 512 MB
Video Card: ATI 9600XT
Video Card Driver: ATI
Operating System: Ubuntu 7.10 (Feisty Fawn)
Not sure if this bug has been reported or not...couldn't find it in the bug reports.
I am running Zsnes (1.51) under Ubuntu 7.10.
Zsnes works fine on my PC. The problem is when I am trying to exit Zsnes from full screen mode.
What will happen is, if I try to exit in full screen mode, it will freeze my PC to the point I have to reboot.
I have worked around this by minimizing Zsnes to the default screen size (I assume its 800x600) and exiting Zsnes. This causes no problems at all.
Not sure if its a driver issue or an issue with the emulator itself.
Small Zsnes problem...

It is possible it is your drivers fault. You could try the open source ATI drivers and see if it is better.
You could alternatively use a Windowed mode and it probably won't lock up.
This issue has been mentioned before.

Thanks for the reply...actually I am using the ATI drivers, its just that the ATI driver ts a restricted driver under linux and its a bit of a pain to uninstall/install.Deathlike2 wrote:It is possible it is your drivers fault. You could try the open source ATI drivers and see if it is better.

I'll just continue to do what I have been doing and continue to enjoy Zsnes.
Thanks once again.
It appears to be a problem with the distribution-supplied build of ZSNES, as I've encountered the same issue but resolved it by building my own binaries for 1.51. Please see the 'installing zsnes from svn' howto's build instructions [aside from svn] and build 1.51 yourself. If the issue doesn't persist, feel free to file a bug report with Ubuntu.
