Hi everyone
i understand this is a SNES forum and not NES forum. but i found this guy on eBay selling the Japanese version of SMB2 on a PAL NES cart, also known as SMB: The Lost Levels in super mario all stars. Here's the link
do you recon this guy is for real ? could he have obtained the SMB2 Famicom ROM image and put it on a PAL cart and stuck a lable on?
Best regards

Sure, he could've.
It's fairly easy really.
The problem is that it's almost worthless.
For one, it's PAL. It runs slow, and it runs squished.
For two, it's not a VERY VERY RARE GAME. It's a cartridge any idiot with an EPROM burner can make. If it were an OFFICIAL release, it'd be different.
yse it must be fake. the dummie was silly enought to go and put smilie faces on the clouds, if my memory is correct, the clouds should be the same as SMB1. you should watch his crap video!
It's a fake cart. Someone should report that seller to ebay. Man I hope for loopy's sake that he's not selling the rom hack he made. That'd be pretty low seeing as you can get it for free.
While we are on the subject. does anyone know where i can download the japanese SMB2 ROM image and loopy's patch? I'm thinking of building my own SMB2 proto cart. (probly for alot less than $80 'cause i already own an EPROM/Flash burner)
