WinKawaks 1.58 Intro Audio

Post by Zant »

Hi, this isn't a big problem, but it is a bit annoying. When using WinKawaks 1.58, some of the games such as Final Fight and SSF2T, don't have any audio during the intros. Once I start playing the game, everything is fine, but the intro audio never works. This only happens to some games. Anyway to fix this?

Make sure that Attract Sound has been set to ON in each game's Test Menu.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

  Wow that was a quick reply. I went to the test menu and fixed it for SSF2T (demo sound was off), but it doesn't seem as if Final Fight has a test menu. Is there a different way of accessing it since it is a CPS1 game?

Many cps1 games (older ones) don't have config menus...To adjust settings one used the dip switches (physical switches on the real board). It should be reproduced via some menu with the emulator you're using. As on the real board, many settings will only take effect after you restart the game.

Thanks a lot. It didn't work when I turned demo sound on, but I finally know how to change the other settings in the game. There were some issues I was having while playing Final Fight and now I am pretty sure its because a lot of settings were incorrect. I think I am just going to try another rom and see if it has the default settings.

Uhhhh.... ROM image will have no effect whatsoever on default DIP switch settings.
